This morning we held a lockdown drill in conjunction with Fulton County Sheriff's Office. Drills are always an important part of being prepared for actual emergency situations. Thanks to all those involved.

Championship night! Our Varsity Boys Basketball team faces Canton tonight in the Fulton County title game. Sending all our support to Coach Jones and the entire North Fulton Wildcats squad—go get it! 🏀🏆 Game starts at 7:30 PM in Lewistown!

Shoutout to Mrs. Hanlin’s JH math students who spend time each week helping Mrs. Page’s elementary students with their math skills!

Mr. Harrison's students are using computer-guided cutting and engraving tools to create some pretty awesome wooden builds. Final products are top-secret for now… but stay tuned. 🎁😉

Due to the impending weather starting this afternoon and the condition of secondary roads, Spoon River Valley will be dismissing at 1:00 pm today. There will be no afternoon Pre-K today. The safety of our students and staff remain our primary focus.

Just a reminder that SRV HS Student Council is holding its annual food drive. Elementary- see attached list for food donation items by class. Junior High- food items assigned. High School- bring in food items to the drop boxes before school starting next Monday, the 8th. Thank you in advance for supporting our community food drive!!

Lots of fun Thanksgiving activities today! Junior High celebrated Thanksgiving break with a friendly game of Thanksgiving Bingo! Also, BIG shoutout to Christian Burnett, who won this week’s NFL Pick ’em with 12 correct picks! Christian got to choose from several prize options… and he chose to take a picture of his favorite SRV educator 😂 Mrs. Boyer’s 3rd grade class had quite the adventure, returning from music to find their room in disarray and their turkey “stolen.” After investigating suspects, they solved the mystery and learned an important lesson about always asking before taking something. They also held their annual Thanksgiving Parade after learning about the history of the Macy’s Day Parade. Grateful for our students, staff, and all the fun moments that make our school community special. Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡🦃
